Father McGivney Prayer

Knights of Columbus Council 14699 Posted on October 28, 2017 by RonaldOctober 28, 2017

How to save the McGivney Prayer on your smart phone.
Stop looking for your prayer card.

Save to iphone:

Open the McGivney website in your Safari browser:
http://www.fathermcgivney.org/en/index.html

Click on Download Prayer

  • If you opened the PDF in your iPhone’s Safari web browser, you’ll briefly see a pair of buttons at the top of the screen: “Open in…” and “Open in [name of app].” Tap the screen to make those buttons reappear, then tap the “Open in…” button.
  • Next, a menu of PDF-viewing apps will slide up from the bottom of the display. Tap the one you want to use, and the PDF file will open in the app of your choice.  You can use Evernote, ibooks, Adobe, etc.
  • You now have a shortcut to the prayer on your phone.

Save to android phone:

Open the McGivney website in your internet browser:
http://www.fathermcgivney.org/en/index.html

Click on Download Prayer

A menu selection opens on the bottom of the screen.  Click open with Adobe Reader.
Save and click on Adobe Reader (to open always) in your apps and the prayer is saved.
Open Adobe Reader and select the canonization.pdf for the prayer

Second Option:  Download the prayer to your computer and send the prayer as an attachment to yourself in an email.

Family Prayer Night

A Higher Purpose
Strengthen the bonds within our parishes and build faith-filled families. This is an opportunity for council members, families and the whole parish community to come together once a month for an evening of prayer, dinner and fellowship.

Overview
Catholics often struggle with the reality that they do not have the opportunity to socialize and/or pray with other faith-filled Catholic families. It can be quite a challenge to raise our children in the faith when their only exposure comes from Mom and Dad.

Family Prayer Night is an opportunity for children to be exposed to regular people living their faith in a casual setting. Families of council members, as well as other Catholic families within the parish and community, will gather for prayer, dinner and fellowship. Multiple groups can be formed and families are encouraged to rotate between these groups.

HB Riding Center for Children with Special Needs

Therapeutic Riding Center of HB

The Knights of Columbus of St. Mary’s by the Sea conduct and annual campaign to benefit children and adults with special needs.  All of the money collected stays in Huntington Beach and supports the Therapeutic Riding Center in Central Park.  The riding center strives to empower children with intellectual and developmental challenges to discover their greatest strengths and gain a sense of self-confidence and self-reliance through the special relationship with a horse
